And now, the finale of this year’s Friendly Competition Series — the Chapter Championship! This will be a straightforward individual stroke play tournament Multiple substantial prizes, generously supplied by our longtime sponsor, New York Golf Center, will be awarded in various categories for gross and net scoring.

This year’s Chapter Championship will be held at the Marine Park Golf Course at 2880 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn on Saturday, August 22nd.

Anyone with an official, up to date GHIN handicap index is welcome to compete. And it’s not too late to get a handicap if you register with GHIN through the Metropolitan Golf Association NOW and play and post half a dozen rounds. 

As always in this series, the competition is real but the attitude is completely relaxed and friendly.

Schedule

• 9:30 am to 10:00 am: Check-in. 
• 10:15 am: Mandatory players meeting.
• 11:00 am: Tee times start.
• 4:00 pm: Post-round prizes.

Fees

• $108 member fee for 18-holes, golf carts & prizes.

Registration closes on   or when the event fills up, whichever comes first.  Events fill up quickly so register as soon as you can.

Tournament format

The format of the tournament is individual stroke play.

Handicap

We highly encourage players to have a valid GHIN and current handicap. Having a handicap allows you to track our own game and participate in events that require a handicap. 

As a member of the LPGA Amateurs - NYC Chapter you can establish a handicap through the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) for $36 per year and post scores from a total of 54 holes, made up of any combination of 9 or 18-hole rounds. Once you do that, you will have a handicap the next day. It is that easy! The MGA link is here.

Check Your Email!

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email from: noreply@golfgenius.com. Please make sure that email address does not go to spam as further information regarding this event will be sent from this email. Exact tee times and pairings will also be posted to this portal.

Travel to Course

If you need a ride to the course, in the registration form, select that you need a ride. At the close of registration, you will be given contact information for people who can offer rides. The LPGA Amateurs - NYC will not organize ride sharing and does not guarantee that you will have a ride to the course.  If you cannot find a ride, the registration fee is non-refundable. 

Cancellation Policy

The registration fee is non-refundable. If you register and are not able to attend, you can obtain a substitute and arrange the payment of the registration fee between yourself and the substitute.

Waitlist

As this event reaches capacity or is full, you will be directed to sign-up to the waitlist. Your credit card will not be charged until you are moved to the registered list. If you are on the waitlist and can no longer attend, email golfevents@lpgaamateursnyc.com as soon as possible to be removed from the waitlist.
